Knick. The thesis is separated into two parts. In the first part, I analyze the accuracy of the
depiction of real persons in the series. The main character John Thackery is an adaptation of the
real-life surgeon William Halsted. The character of Dr. Cotton is a dramatization of the real
psychiatrist named Henry Cotton. The series also adapts the story of Mary Mallon, who was a
healthy carrier of typhoid fever and was responsible for spreading the disease in households
where she worked as a cook. In the second part of my thesis, I analyze the accuracy of the
medical science depicted in the series and explain how the producers used visual effects to
achieve historical accuracy.</dc:description><dc:publisher>[D. Preradović]</dc:publisher><dc:date>2018</dc:date><dc:date>2018-02-07 17:38:18</dc:date><dc:type>Magistrsko delo/naloga</dc:type><dc:identifier>69606</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
