The exponentially increasing ultimate skin friction along the pile shaft is derived by means of an equilibrium analysis of the soil element around the pile. The soil stress distribution due to the exponentially increasing skin friction and uniformly distributed end bearing of the piles is proposed. The estimated soil stresses are compared using the original Geddes solution, which validates the derivation and formulae obtained.</dc:description><dc:date>2017</dc:date><dc:date>2018-06-18 12:09:40</dc:date><dc:type>Znanstveno delo</dc:type><dc:identifier>70898</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language><dc:rights>Fakulteta za gradbeništvo, prometno inženirstvo in arhitekturo Univerze v Mariboru</dc:rights></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
