Approximately 500 discarded filters were collected, cleaned, shredded, dried, and characterized using ATR-FTIR, wettability, moisture, thermogravimetric, combustion calorimetry, and thermal conductivity measurements. Recycling largely preserved the chemical structure and thermal degradation behavior of cellulose acetate. Recycled samples showed thermal conductivities of 0.084–0.089 W/(m K), slightly lower than those of new filters but higher than those of conventional insulation materials. Moisture sensitivity and combustion behavior remain important limitations. Four product concepts demonstrate potential applications and support further development of this waste-derived material.</dc:description><dc:date>2026</dc:date><dc:date>2026-08-26 16:49:43</dc:date><dc:type>Magistrsko delo/naloga</dc:type><dc:identifier>99797</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
