Tenses, aspect, modal verbs etc. are parts of English language that are researched in details and mostly deal with one-word verbs. In this diploma work we deal with the multi-word verbs, which are formed with verb and particle, called Phrasal verbs.
Present diploma work deals with frequency of phrasal verbs in different genres and focuses on their characteristics and formation. Identifying and classifying the phrasal verbs in a literature work or newspaper article can be a very long and complicated procedure because one phrasal verb can have two or more meanings. We also looked for Slovene translations of phrasal verbs and analyzed their structure. The Slovene system of phrasal verbs differs from English system and most of the phrasal verb translations are not phrasal verbs in Slovene. Then our aim will be to determine stative and dynamic features of the phrasal verbs. </dc:description><dc:publisher>[K.
