A classical result of Posner states that the existence of a nonzero centralizing derivation on a prime ring forces the ring to be commutative. Mayne proved that in case there exists a nontrivial centralizing automorphism on a prime ring, then the ring is commutative. In this paper, some results related to Posner's theorem as well as to Mayne's theorem are proved.</dc:description><dc:date>2005</dc:date><dc:date>2017-06-14 11:50:48</dc:date><dc:type>Članek v reviji</dc:type><dc:identifier>66191</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN: 0161-1712</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 512.552</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>OceCobissID: 25648128</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 14107912</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.1155/IJMMS.2005.1031</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 0161-1712</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>NUK URN: URN:SI:UM:DK:DIWUYT8X</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></metadata>
