I begin with the standard view which held that an explanation of a phenomenom is a deduction of statement which describes it from a set of propositions containing laws. Between many conceptions what laws are I analyse only those which explain laws as a regularity - Humean account and as a specific, unreducible relation between universals - TDA approach. It is proposed that laws of nature are not true laws statements but whatever it is in the world that makes such statement true. Laws of nature are explainable on the ground of nomic necessity as a contingent, theoretical relation between first order universals. Necessity intended here is de re not de dicto. Out of these grounds the improved Regularity theory is denied and the Principle of Universals is accepted.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Založba ZRC</dc:publisher><dc:date>1990</dc:date><dc:date>2017-07-05 04:20:57</dc:date><dc:type>Članek v reviji</dc:type><dc:identifier>66638</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 113/119</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>OceCobissID: 8558080</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 22615042</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 0353-4510</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>NUK URN: URN:SI:UM:DK:ZVIM4GXX</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></metadata>
