The study examined how animated films can broaden young learners’ perspectives on diverse cultural practices, values, and traditions, and identified factors that affect information processing in complex, cross-cultural contexts. Using triangulation, data were gathered and analysed from twenty primary students (ages 8-11). The study employed Tobii Pro Glasses 3 for eye-tracking, supplemented by a questionnaire to support the eye-tracking findings. Analysis revealed that integrating culture-specific concepts from animated films can effectively enhance cross-cultural awareness in interdisciplinary education.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Univerzitetna založba Univerze v Mariboru</dc:publisher><dc:date>2025</dc:date><dc:date>2025-10-20 14:00:37</dc:date><dc:type>Znanstveno delo</dc:type><dc:identifier>95764</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 373.3.091.3:791</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 253121539</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.18690/rei.4806</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 1855-4431</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></metadata>
