20.500.12556/DKUM-13247 RAZVOJ INFORMACIJSKIH REŠITEV V OBLAČNI ARHITEKTURI DEVELOPMENT OF IT SOLUTIONS USING CLOUD ARCHITECTURE Diplomsko delo predstavlja računalništvo v oblaku in celovit pristop k razvoju informacijskih rešitev, ki so primerne za izvajanje v oblaku. Predstavili smo koncepte, razvoj, vrste, ponudnike, prednosti, slabosti, izzive in arhitekturo računalniškega oblaka ter opisali vse vrste storitev, ki nam jih ponuja. Na kratko smo opisali in umestili storitveno-usmerjeno arhitekturo (SOA) in storitveno komponentno arhitekturo (SCA), ki predstavljata optimalen arhitekturni pristop za razvoj sodobnih informacijskih rešitev. Raziskali in opisali smo celovit razvojni cikel in metodologijo razvoja novodobnih poslovnih rešitev, ki izkoriščajo vse prednosti računalniškega oblaka. Podrobno smo predstavili platformo IBM WebSphere (IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance in IBM WebSphere Application Server Hypervisor Edition) ter opisali namestitveni cikel v virtualnem IBM oblaku. Zadnji del diplomskega dela obsega praktični primer razvoja arhitekture in delne implementacije aplikacije SkyInfo z uporabo orodij IBM WebSphere. The following final work presents cloud computing and comprehensive approach to developing modern information systems, which can run in the »cloud«. We describe concepts of cloud computing, its history, types, providers, advantages and disadvantages, challenges, architecture and all types of cloud computing services. We also briefly we describe concepts of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and service component architecture (SCA), which offer an optimal architectural approach to development of cloud solutions. We also define their role in cloud computing model. Furthermore we study and present a methodology which defines a comprehensive development cycle that constantly supports and guides software architects and developers in the right direction so their newly developed applications can exploit the full potential of cloud infrastructure. We take a more detailed look at IBM WebSphere platform (mainly IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance and IBM WebSphere Application Server Hypervisor Edition). We also present IBM deployment cycle, which covers establishment of a virtual cloud environment and deployment of IT solutions into the newly formed cloud. We use the obtained theoretical knowledge on a design of innovative cloud application SkyInfo and on implementation of some SkyInfo services that run on IBM WebSphere platform.
