20.500.12556/DKUM-40487 PRIMERJAVA REST IN SPLETNIH STORITEV COMPARISON OF REST AND WEB SERVICES Sposobnost povezovanja informacijskih sistemov prinaša številne prednosti. V diplomskem delu smo opisali in primerjali spletne storitve REST in WS-*. The ability of connecting IT systems between brings numerous advantages. In the thesis we described and compared the REST web services and WS-*. We made the comparison on the basis of architectural principles, concepts, technologies and distribution of architectural style of REST and web services that use the SOAP protocol. Choice of the most appropriate architectural style for implementation is depended on the requirements of the application and it restrictions. The practical example of our solution is based on the integration of the existing application programming interfaces and web services with their own web-based application for solving web surveys.
