However, rice terrace conservation activities have been spreading extensively in recent years as many people have reconfirmed the multi-functionality of rice terraces in Japan. This paper introduces rice terraces in the Sakaori District of Gifu Prefecture in Japan, and describes the current state of conservation activities as well as challenges ahead that people will face in preserving rice terraces in Japan. It is shown that the efforts and contributions of the Sakaori Rice Terrace Conservation Association members are the primary driving force for conservation and development of the rice terraces in the Sakaori District. However, it is also noteworthy that the farming workforce supporting the Sakaori Rice Terrace Conservation Association is continually diminishing and that the aging of this workforce is causing serious problems as well. rice terrace (tanada) farming villages the Sakaori Rice Terrace Conservation Association rice terrace ownership system Japonska podeželje kulturna pokrajina kmetijstvo terase riž pridelovanje true true true Angleški jezik Slovenski jezik Oddelek za geografijo, Filozofska fakulteta Univerze v Mariboru Znanstveno delo 2018-03-29 09:05:38 2018-03-29 09:06:20 2022-08-01 18:43:24 2019-10-22 03:12:01 2010 0 0 str. 91-100 št. 1 Letn. 5 2010 0000-00-00 Zaloznikova Objavljeno NiDoloceno 0000-00-00 0000-00-00 0000-00-00 1854-665X 911.53:631.613(520) 229718016 254196224 1854-665X URN:SI:UM:DK:Y8H57XWB Revija_za_geografijo_2010_Kobayashi,_Harada_Conservation_of_rice_terraces_in_Japan_-_roles_of_the_Sakaori_rice_terrace_conservation_asso.pdf Revija_za_geografijo_2010_Kobayashi,_Harada_Conservation_of_rice_terraces_in_Japan_-_roles_of_the_Sakaori_rice_terrace_conservation_asso.pdf 1 EAC2F5C3B72BCDCFE5172649248B59EE fe82e9cab8a25e1ba0fdfd2e3d5ac63f932a7114eea106e597e325d1c1282b9f d881283b-7c0f-11eb-bb7a-00155d0001ca 20.500.12556/dkum/9068557f-f79f-40ba-938f-3a3e63d97694 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=123495 http://www.ff.um.si/zalozba-in-knjigarna/ponudba/zbirke-in-revije/revija-za-geografijo/clanki/stevilka-5-1-2010/051-08_kobayashi_harada.pdf 1 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=123494 Filozofska fakulteta Revija za geografijo 0 0 0
