20.500.12556/DKUM-86746 Travel-related humour and COVID-19 insights from memes This study aims to provide an overview of humorous travel-related memes shared during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 80 Internet memes were content analysed for emergent themes. The findings reveal three major themes: playful aggression, making fun of one’s longing for travel, and making fun of new travel realities. The identified themes were linked to the existing literature to better understand the memes being studied. The analysis of memes provides a methodologically agile way to study conditions that may otherwise be overlooked, e.g., peoples’ travel-related desires and concerns while in lockdown. memes COVID-19 travel restrictions lockdown memi COVID-19 omejitve potovanj zaprtje true false true International Society for Humor Studies Angleški jezik Slovenski jezik Znanstveno delo 2024-01-16 15:00:22 2024-01-16 15:09:18 2024-01-17 03:17:58 0000-00-00 00:00:00 2022 0 0 Str. 211-216 Št. 3 Letn. 10 2022 0000-00-00 Zaloznikova Objavljeno NiDoloceno 2021-07-09 0000-00-00 2022-10-11 659.1 127502595 10.7592/EJHR2022.10.3.659 2307-700X Travel-related_humour_and_COVID-19_Pabel_2022.pdf Travel-related_humour_and_COVID-19_Pabel_2022.pdf 1 A57EAB29C1571ED1394ADDA4FA9606F9 98dea30334d41bd78acf5215904e0174af3758c5c36ed31dab796075ca75cf09 a04559aa-b478-11ee-8692-00155d000105 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=175314 https://doi.org/10.7592/EJHR.2022.10.3.659 0 a92a3693-b478-11ee-8692-00155d000105 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=175315 Fakulteta za turizem 0 0 0
