20.500.12556/DKUM-93179 Synergy of blockchain technology and data mining techniques for anomaly detection Blockchain and Data Mining are not simply buzzwords, but rather concepts that are playing an important role in the modern Information Technology (IT) revolution. Blockchain has recently been popularized by the rise of cryptocurrencies, while data mining has already been present in IT for many decades. Data stored in a blockchain can also be considered to be big data, whereas data mining methods can be applied to extract knowledge hidden in the blockchain. In a nutshell, this paper presents the interplay of these two research areas. In this paper, we surveyed approaches for the data mining of blockchain data, yet show several real-world applications. Special attention was paid to anomaly detection and fraud detection, which were identified as the most prolific applications of applying data mining methods on blockchain data. The paper concludes with challenges for future investigations of this research area. anomaly detection blockchain distributed ledger data mining machine learning strojno učenje podatkovne baze verižni bloki true false true MDPI Angleški jezik Slovenski jezik https://www.mdpi.com/journal/applsci © 2021 by the authors Članek v reviji 2025-06-11 03:32:02 2025-06-16 10:21:29 2025-06-17 03:09:17 0000-00-00 00:00:00 2021 0 0 38 str. no. 17 Vol. 11 2021 0000-00-00 Zaloznikova Objavljeno NiDoloceno 2021-07-27 2021-08-25 2021-08-29 004.8 74447619 10.3390/app11177987 2076-3417 applsci-11-07987-v2.pdf applsci-11-07987-v2.pdf 1 41F43303EE64D671F37DD0D30E498D49 2cf5c6dca2989e525c040710f73ceb6fe26016ce3d129622dd86e102865675a4 10698294-4a8b-11f0-a2f6-00155d000105 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=192240 https://www.mdpi.com/2076-3417/11/17/7987 0 177ce025-4a8b-11f0-a2f6-00155d000105 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=192241 Fakulteta za elektrotehniko, računalništvo in informatiko 0 0 0
