The bachelor thesis describes how to create or develop a custom Kubernetes operator that enables database management. It covers the Kubernetes theory, functionality of operators, their concepts, architecture, tools and frameworks for operator development. It continues with the design of a custom operator, its requirements, architecture, definition of custom resources and the operator’s scope. After addressing the theoretical part, the implementation of the operator is covered, from setting up the development environment and project structure, defining custom resources, implementing controllers, and managing permissions to the final packaging and distribution of the operator. This is followed by testing and deploying the operator on a local Kubernetes cluster, concluding with a discussion that verifies the hypotheses. kubernetes razvoj operatorja kubebuilder podatkovne baze kubernetes operator development kubebuilder databases true true false [P.
