20.500.12556/DKUM-97753 Housing concerns, stress, and youth health in the context of adverse macro-structural housing conditions evidence from Slovenia This study examines the link between housing concerns and health among young people (15–29) in Slovenia, using nationally representative data from 2010 and 2020. Guided by the Stress Process Model, it explores how housing-related stress affects self-rated health and whether these relationships changed over time. Findings show a marked increase in housing concerns between 2010 and 2020, reflecting shifts in the housing market. These concerns are strongly associated with poorer health, with stress acting as a key mediator in both samples. Additionally, family material background influenced health only in 2020, with its effects partially mediated by housing concerns and stress. Overall, the results suggest that worsening housing conditions have intensified stress among young people, contributing to declining health outcomes. This highlights housing as an important but often overlooked factor in understanding youth mental and general health trends. housing young people stress health social change stanovanja mladi stres zdravje družbene spremembe true false true Angleški jezik Slovenski jezik Znanstveno delo 2026-04-10 03:16:42 2026-04-13 09:47:18 2026-04-14 03:09:30 0000-00-00 00:00:00 2026 0 0 str. 1-22 2026 0000-00-00 Zaloznikova VTisku NiDoloceno 0000-00-00 2026-03-18 2026-04-01 316.334.52-053.88(497.4) 274158595 10.1080/14036096.2026.2650292 1403-6096 RAZ_Klanjsek_Rudi_2026.pdf RAZ_Klanjsek_Rudi_2026.pdf 1 FC05E02EBE907D2514D4E4B3F8086EC3 059466a38986d2d4b2eae1871acbd1fd68bcdfa396a559d9d4574f6703d53d89 daa392fb-370c-11f1-bc3c-00155d0001a1 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=205229 https://doi.org/10.1080/14036096.2026.2650292 0 f89b3f6f-370c-11f1-bc3c-00155d0001a1 https://dk.um.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=205230 Filozofska fakulteta 0 0 0
