| Opis: | The diploma paper, with its title, Cultural - historical aspects of educating adults at the people’s university Žalec, in its first part focuses on theoretical frameworks of adult education in Slovenia. With the help of descriptive method and several aspects of various authors, we defined the theoretical bases. In the diploma paper we will also get to know the types and contents of adult education and also staff structure of full-time employees on universities for adults.
The diploma paper offers a short review of the history in Žalec, as the theme is the education of adults. Furthermore the chronological overview of adult education in Žalec is added through cultural, sports, other societies and schools for adult education.
In the empirical part of the diploma paper we used the comparative and descriptive method and primarily the method of secondary analysis of the data on specific samples, to research the theoretical starting points. On the basis of collected data from self-evaluated annual reports of UPI People’s university Žalec, we defined the research hypothesis, which we in the end confirmed, partly confirmed or rejected. From the collected data we did an analysis of the types and contents of adult education, and also based on the staff structure of full-time employees in three different periods, that is, the education of adults between years 1994-1997, 2001-2004 and 2007-2010. The final aim of the diploma paper is to give the comparison and the findings of the diversity of adult education, according to the types and the content, and also staff structure of full-time employees on UPI People’s university Žalec, in all three discussed periods. |
