Opis:	Ptujski gospodje so bili od 12. do začetka 15. stoletja izjemno pomembna ministerialna rodbina salzburške nadškofije, ki se je primarno močno utrdila v samem mestu Ptuj in neposredni okolici. Sprva »le« salzburški ministeriali so v desetletjih pred smrtjo dosegli vpliv, ki jih je postavljal na drugo mesto za grofi Celjskimi. Širjenje njihovih posesti vzhodno od Ptuja, na zahodu pa vse do Savinjske in Šaleške doline, kjer so jih izpodrivali tamkajšnji grofje Celjski, priča o njihovi pomembni strateški funkciji – obrambi meje ob Ogrski. Pomembne ženske v rodbini Ptujskih in njihova dediščina po Ehrneških, Dravsko/Šoštanjskih ter Ortih so pripeljale do posedovanja pomembnih posesti in posledično do izjemnega vpliva te ministerialne rodbine. Pridobivanje moči Ptujskih s spretnimi porokami, sodelovanjem v vojnah in fajdah ter dednimi povezavami z drugimi plemiškimi rodbini je prinašalo lastništvo nad pomembnimi alodi, fevdi in deželnoknežjimi fevdi, od katerih so imeli neštete koristi. Zlasti pri njihovi »ekspanziji« na zahod jim je vlogo seniorjev ter mnoge fevde in alode prinesla povezava s sorodniki Kunšperškimi in Orti, na območju vzhodno od Ptuja pa so veliko posesti pridobili kot borci nemškega kralja Rudolfa Habsburškega in zvesti spremljevalci ogrskega kralja Bele IV. Zastave gradov in posesti nekaterih pomembnih plemiških rodbin v roke Ptujskim (npr. zastava Lemberga Hartnida Guštanjskega, ki je bil deželski sodnik za Savinjsko) še vedno prinašajo zapleteno interpretacijo pri procesu pridobivanja posesti. Posledice in koristi, ki jih je prinašalo posedovanje posesti Ptujskih, so povezane z dodelitvijo trških in mestnih pravic, obrambnimi in odvetniškimi nalogami, odrekanjem posesti v korist salzburške nadškofije, prav tako pa z gradbeno dejavnostjo.

Opis:	The lords of Ptuj were from the 12th till the beginning of the 15th century an important ministerial family of the Salzburg archbishopric, which was well established in the city of Ptuj and its vicinity. In the beginning they were »only« the Salzburgian ministerial members, but in the later decades, they achieved great influence, which put them right next to the Counts of Celje. The expansion of their properties to the east of Ptuj and all the way to the Savinjska and Saleška valley to the west, where they were forced out by the Counts of Celje, clearly testifies their important strategic function, which was the defense of the border of the Kingdom of Hungary. The women in this family and their legacy resulted in the possession of important estates and influence in the aristocratic circles of that time. The lords of Ptuj managed to get a great deal of power by cleverly arranging marriages, cooperating in wars, different disputes and inheriting connections from other aristocratic families, which consequently brought a majority of ownership regarding important feuds and land feuds, from which they had countless benefits. Their “expansion” to the west secured them the role on seniors for multiple feuds and feud lords, especially with their connection to the relatives which were the Kunšperški and Orti. In the eastern region of Ptuj they received a lot of estates, due to the fact that they fought for the German king Rudolf of Habsburg and because of their loyalty to the Hungarian king Bele IV. The flags of castles and estates of aristocratic families which were handed over to the lords of Ptuj, (for example the flag of Lemberg Hartnid Guštanjski, who was the land judge for the Savinjska region) still present a difficult interpretation in the process of acquiring new estates. The consequences and benefits which resulted in the ownership of the estates are connected with the assignment of the square and city rights, defense and jurisdictional tasks, economical rise, denying of estates in the interest of the Salzburg archbishopric and lastly with the civil engineering activities.
