| Opis: | In the graduation thesis, we presented warehouse management in the company X, which deals with the production and sale of meat.
In the theoretical part, we defined the importance of warehousing for production company, tasks and objectives of warehousing, supplies and costs, warehousing functions, and warehouse equipment.
In the practical part, we presented the company X, its activity, information system, characteristics of the plant for cutting meat, and shortly described the remaining functions in the company: purchasing, production, and sale. In the chosen company, we demonstrated warehousing activity, presented warehouses, warehouse equipment, and means of transport. We described in details basic warehouse functions: take-over, storage, guarding, and issuance of meat, and which documents shall be handled with that.
The purpose of warehousing is to supply all the consumers with the needed material, and maintaining the quantity and quality of the stored goods. Warehouse is an important link among the purchase, production, and sale, because it enables their smooth functioning. |
