| Opis: | This thesis examines tourist experience and visitor satisfaction at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The main aim of the study was to analyse how tourists evaluated their experiences during the event and to identify the factors that influenced their overall satisfaction. A qualitative research design was adopted, using qualitative content analysis of user-generated content based on 91 online visitor reviews collected from platforms including Google Maps, Reddit, YouTube, Business Insider, and Itinerant Fan. The findings indicate that most visitors evaluated their experience positively, highlighting the Olympic atmosphere, high-quality sporting competitions, natural Alpine scenery, volunteer support, the opportunity to explore different host destinations, and the opportunity to participate in winter sport activities themselves. At the same time, the study identified several organisational challenges related to transportation, accommodation, crowd management, food services, accessibility, and visitor information. The results demonstrate that tourist satisfaction at mega-sport events depends not only on the sporting programme but also on the quality of supporting tourism services and destination management. Based on the findings, practical recommendations are provided for organisers of future mega-sport events to improve visitor experience, event organisation, and the quality of tourism services. |
