Abstract:Pri pouku tehnike in tehnologije se učenci vse pogosteje srečujejo s sodobnimi tehnologijami, vendar njihova praktična uporaba pri pouku še ni dovolj razširjena. V praktičnem delu smo zasnovali učno enoto, v okviru katere učenci načrtujejo in izdelajo izdelek z uporabo sodobnih digitalnih orodij in CNC tehnologije. Kljub temu ostajajo izzivi, povezani z dostopnostjo opreme in usposobljenostjo učiteljev.

Title:The Use of a CNC Laser Cutting Machine in Technology Education
Abstract:In technology education lessons, students are increasingly encountering modern technologies; however, their practical use in the classroom is still not sufficiently widespread. CNC laser cutting machines represent an advanced technology that enables precise material processing and the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical work. Despite their numerous advantages, teachers often face a lack of appropriate guidelines, knowledge, and equipment for incorporating such technologies into the teaching process. The aim of this master’s thesis was to explore the possibilities of using a CNC laser cutting machine in technology education lessons and to develop an example of a didactically appropriate teaching unit for primary school. In the theoretical part, the operation, types, and applications of CNC laser cutting machines were presented, and their role in education was analysed. In the practical part, a teaching unit was designed in which students plan and produce a product using modern digital tools and CNC technology. The teaching unit includes activities through which students' creativity, precision, and technical and digital competences can be systematically addressed. Nevertheless, challenges related to the availability of equipment and teachers’ competence remain.
