Title:Principles of natural sciences - physics : textbook for the preschool education study programme
Abstract:Principles of Natural Sciences – Physics is primarily intended for students of the Preschool Education study programme and for others involved in early science education. It presents fundamental physical concepts in a clear, visual, and scientifically sound manner, covering measurement, motion and forces, energy, heat, matter, pressure and buoyancy, oscillations, waves and sound, electricity and magnetism, light, colour and vision, and basic astronomy. Mathematical treatment is kept to what is essential, while emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding, everyday phenomena, observation, measurement, and simple experiments. The textbook aims to provide future preschool teachers with a reliable foundation in physics that will help them explain natural phenomena to children accurately, confidently, and in an accessible way.
Keywords:physics, introductory science, preschool education, scientific literacy, physical concepts, experiments
