Abstract:V diplomskem delu je predstavljena problematika naglušnih, načini ugotavljanja slušne okvare, načini rehabilitacije in zakonodaja, ki ureja njihove pravice.

Title:REHABILITATION OF HARD OF HEARING PEOPLE, LEGISLATION AND THE ROLE OF CIVIL SOCIETY
Abstract:The purpose of this graduate work is to present problems of hard of hearing people, hearing loss detection methods, methods of rehabilitation and legislation governing their rights. The role of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Clubs Association of Slovenia which carries out specific social programs, monitors the implementation of legislation and calls attention to the violations of the rights of deaf and hard of hearing people is also presented. In the empirical part are presented the results of the survey, which was conducted in 2009 in nine clubs of deaf and hard of hearing people in Slovenia and one supplier of hearing aids. It included 154 users of hearing aids. The purpose of this paper was to find out, whether the hard of hearing use the hearing aid, whether they attend speech and listening exercises and whether they are familiar with technical devices. The goal was also to assess the problems of the hard of hearing people, and the importance of information to facilitate the integration into the society. The results showed that the hard of hearing people use hearing aids and are familiar with technical devices. We found out that the hard of hearing people do not attend speech and listening exercises. In education, in everyday life and at work the users of hearing aids face communication barriers therefore providing information to the heard of hearing should be the main obligation of all those who work with and have contact with them, including nurses since they are the first who get in contact with the hard of hearing people.
