Abstract:Pri dinarski voluharici, Dinaromys bogdanovi, sem z določanjem 18 oslonilnih točk na prvem spodnjem meljaku opravila univariatno in multivariatno statistično analizo starostne variabilnosti, sekundarnega spolnega dimorfizma in geografske variabilnosti.

Title:Geographical variability of the first lower molar in martino's vole, Dinaromys bogdanovi (Martino and Martino, 1922) (Rodentia, Mammalia)
Abstract:With Martino's snow vole, by defining 18 landmark points at the first lower molar tooth, I have performed a univariate and multivariate statistical analysis of age variability, secondary sexual dimorphism and geographical variability. I have analysed a sample of 216 specimens from 31 localities that were divided in south, central and west geographical region. A one-way-analysis of variance has proven the presence of age variability, for there was shown a statistically significant variability among subjects of different age groups, however, there was no secondary sexual dimorphism seen, because no distinction of first lower molar with male and female voles was present. With regard to the high percentage of correctly ranged subjects at the classification analysis and statistically characteristic differentiation between samples of three geographical specimens, the blending of morphometric areas has shown significant differences only with the subjects of western and southern region. By performing a discriminant analysis I could not have confirmed that within the species of Dinaromys there is an existence of two sub-species; Dinaromys bogdanovi bogdanovi and Dinaromys bogdanovi grebenscikovi. Investigating the form of the first lower molar on the basis of bending the landmark points has proven though, that differences of from can be observed among the specimens of all three geographical regions.
