Title:STRESORS IN ACCOUNTING PROFESION OF ORGANIZATION X AND Y
Abstract:This thesis renders an account of the research on stressors at work, namely at the accounting department. First the term stressor was defined. A presentation of micro and macro stressors present in the working environment followed, which focused mainly on micro and macro stressors occurring at the accounting department. According to the professional opinion of various authors, the most frequent stressors at the accounting department were listed, individual stressors and theirs characteristics were defined. Afterwards both organisations in observation were introduced. The founding of the organizations, their activities and values were described, following by a short explanation on how the accounting departments are organised. The data gathered from the questionnaires such as sex, education, number, age and the number of years employed in the accounting department were displayed in graphs. The stressors were analysed in detail and depicted in tables. Possible reasons for the occurrence of stressors were given. At the end the stressors of both organizations were compared between each other. Conclusions and suggestions on how to improve the situation at the accounting departments were offered. Although the purpose of this thesis was not to list various known strategies on how to cope with stress or indicate which strategies would be most suitable for both organizations, the reader was nevertheless introduced to such possibilities.
