Abstract:V letih 2004 in 2005 je na posestvu UKC Pohorski dvor potekal poizkus kemičnega redčenja jablane Malus domestica Borkh. 'Fuji'.

Title:THE EFFECT OF ETHEPHON, NAA, BA AND THEIR COMBINATIONS ON THINING INTENSITY OF 'Fuji' APPLES (Malus domesica Borkh.)
Abstract:In 2004 and 2005 at the UKC Pohorski dvor the thinning response was studied on Malus domestica Borkh. 'Fuji'. We were evaluating how the thinning effect of different thinners and how do they effect on bigger sized fruits, amount harvest and colour of fruits. We were also evaluating the appearance of small fruits and return blooming. In the time of the experiment, there were no extra difficulties with weather, so all treatments were done in sunny weather. 'Fuji' apples are known to be hard to thinn, that can also be seen in our experiment. NAD 100 ppm, NAA 15 ppm in BA 150 ppm + NAA 15 ppm haven't significant thinned. In treatment with BA 150 ppm the thinning was slightly better. We are assigning that to an unknown parameter. In all those treatments small fruits or pigmy fruits had appeared (<45 mm). At strongest they appeared in treatment with BA 150 ppm + NAA 15 ppm. The only thinner that significantly reduced the amount of fruits was etephon at 400 ppm, but those trees were ower thined, so the amount of comercial fruits was reduced. So our experiment had once more shown that 'Fuji' apples are really hard to thin and that almost all thinners cause the appearance of pigmy fruits.
