Abstract:
Zdravstvena nega je nujni del zdravljenja. Poklic zdravstveni tehnik ima že dolgo tradicijo. V diplomskem delu smo skušali čimbolj celovito zajeti ključne vsebinske značilnosti tega poklica in na podlagi javno dostopnih podatkov oceniti nekatere spremembe glede zaposlovanja, izobraževanja in nagrajevanja v tem poklicu. Na podlagi podatkov Kliničnega centra v Ljubljani od leta 1994 do 2007 ocenjujemo, da se je stanje v tem poklicu pomembno izboljšalo, med drugim se je pomembno povečalo število in delež zdravstvenih tehnikov, število bolnikov na zdravstvenega tehnika pa zmanjšalo. Po novem sistemu plač v javnem sektorju je osnovna plača v zdravstveni negi bolj ustrezno ovrednotena, zdravstvenim tehnikom pa večinoma pripadajo še posebni dodatki k osnovni plači.

MEDICAL TECHNICIAN OCCUPATION DESCRIPTION
Abstract:
Nursing care is an essential part of medical treatment. Medical technician is an occupation with a long tradition. In this thesis an attempt is made at presenting the key features of this occupation in a comprehensive way and at assessing some changes regarding employment, education, and remuneration in this occupation, based on publicly available data. In the light of data of University Medical Centre Ljubljana between 1994 and 2007 it is assessed that the situation in this occupation has improved significantly. Number and proportion of medical technicians has increased; number of patients per medical technician has decreased significantly. According to the new salary system in the public sector, work in nursing care is more adequately evaluated. Medical technicians are also generally entitled to special supplements to the basic salary.
