Abstract:V prvem delu diplomske naloge smo napravili obsežen pregled literature na področju biomedicinske tehnologije umetnih organov.
Keywords:Biomedicinska tehnologija, umetno srce, umetna pljuča, umetna ledvica, umetna trebušna slinavka, umetno oko, umetna jetra, umetni želodec, matične celice.

Title:Biomedical technology of artificial organs
Abstract:In the first part of the diploma thesis we have thoroughly analysed existing literature in the field of biomedical technology of artificial organs. This part is among other things intended to serve nurses that are working with above mentioned technology. We have sistematically analyzed literature in the medical database PubMed Central. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the research about how well the biomedical technology of artificial organs is known among professional public and how much they want to know about this technology. We have analyzed three groups of professionals in this field. First group are nurses from the Department of intenzive internal in UKC LJ, second group are nurses from the Department of Cardio-vascular surgery in UKC LJ and the third group are diplomants of the FZV MB. We have reached the conclusion that nurses from intern medicine department are the most interested in this technology. We have also determined that most of the people involved in the research are not familiar with completely artificial implanted hart, artificial pancreas and artificial eye.
Keywords:Biomedicine technology, artificial heart, artificial lungs, artificial kidney, artificial pancreas, artificial eye, artificial liver, artificial stomach, stem cell.
