Abstract:V diplomski nalogi smo proučevali vpliv nastavitve difuzorjev pršilnika z radialnim ventilatorjem na nanos škropiva v trajnem nasadu. Izvedeni sta bili dve ponovitvi, in sicer: prva z vertikalno postavitvijo šob pršilnika (K) in druga s postavitvijo šob pršilnika glede na obliko dreves (M).

Title:THE EFFECT OF DIFFUSER ADJUSTMENT ON THE SPRAY DEPOSITION OF THE RADIAL SPRAYER IN THE ORCHARD
Abstract:This graduation thesis was aimed at investigating the effect of adjusting the diffusers of a ducted air-assisted sprayer on spray deposit distribution in a permanent orchard. For the distribution we used a modified sprayer with a possibility of setting the sprayer arm according to the shape of the tree crown. Two treatments were included in the experiment: the first one was a conventional application with vertically positioned nozzles, and the second one with the position of nozzles adjusted to the shape of the tree crowns. The spray deposit was evaluated by using water-sensitive papers (WSP). The WSPs were analyzed by means of an Optomax Image Analyzer. Ten trees and five empty spaces between these trees were studied. In each tree we investigated six areas (at 3 tree heights, 2 distances from the sprayer), and in the empty spaces between the trees we analyzed 3 areas (at the same height as the spray nozzles). With conventional application an average 22 % coverage of the target area was achieved. Individual tree crown parts were, on average, hit by 73 droplets per cm². With the adjusted application there was, on average, 25 % spray coverage. The average number of droplets that hit the investigated parts of the tree crown were 97 on cm². Our experiment shows that the adjustment of spray diffusers to the shape of tree crowns increases the efficacy of plant protection products and reduces negative impacts on the environment.
