Abstract:Živimo v obdobju nenehnega učenja, kjer je izobrazba zelo pomembna.

Title:FLEXIBLE EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP AS A CHALLENGE FOR NEW REGULATION OF STUDENT WORK
Abstract:We live in the era, when education is very valuable. We teach very young children that education is very important. But on the other hand education and studying takes a lot of time and energy. In Slovenia we have quite good system of student work that helps students to full their budget not only with scholarship but also with their own money, so that they can afford more, have more money and live better, maybe also easier life. When we ask Slovenian students about the main advantage of our school system, takes the system of student work very high place. In Slovenia students are not employed. They are working on the basis of the money order of an Agency, which provides yobs for students. Agency gets concession charge and on the other hand student gets a job. Students do not pay any duty, only if they earn more than 400 € per money order, then advance income tax is paid. Student work is for them relatively good way of earning quite a lot of money in short time. On the other hand, from the employer point of view, if we calculate the facts, we see that student work is not so cheap. It is actually relatively expensive. So in the employer’s point of view it is maybe better to think about other options. We may have to think about changing our system with more flexible ways of employment, for example part time yob, temporary employment, maybe also with work at home and copyright agreement. To conclude, almost all Slovenian students work while studying. Student work is a good way to improve their finances and to live quite well. Although it could be a good idea to think about new system of student work, because this one may not be good enough, students will still work to improve their standard. But the focus and the main priority are and have to stay study, not working.
