Abstract:
Ljudje veliko časa preživijo v virtualnem svetu, iščejo različne informacije in navezujejo stike v spletnih socialnih omrežjih. Vendar se premalo zavedajo negativnih učinkov in škodljivih posledic, ki so prisotni na medmrežju. V diplomski nalogi opišemo najpomembnejše študije medijskih učinkov; podamo definicijo interneta in spletnih socialnih omrežij; izpostavimo problem varstva ter zlorabe osebnih podatkov na spletnih socialnih omrežjih ter podamo nekaj nasvetov za varno rabo spletnih socialnih omrežij.

PERSONAL DATA AND USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS
Abstract:
People spend a great deal of time in the virtual world in the search for different kinds of information and to forge new relationships in online social networks. However, they are not aware of the negative impacts and harmful consequences that are present on the Internet. In the thesis we describe the most important studies analysing the media impacts; define the terms Internet and online social networks; highlight the problems of protection and mishandling of personal data in online social networks and provide some advice on how to use online social networks safely.
