Abstract:V diplomskem delu sem na osnovi empiričnih rezultatov motoričnih testov želela ugotoviti razvoj motoričnih sposobnosti in spremembo morfoloških značilnosti v obdobju štirih mesecev.

Title:THE IMPACT OF WALKING ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOTOR AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN
Abstract:On the basis of empirical results based on motor tests I wanted to determine the development of motor skills and change of morphological characteristics in the period of four months. The results were analyzed between different age groups, gender and body mass index. They were also analyzed with the experimental group which in addition to regular activities within the context of sporting activity was regularly performing planned and controlled forms of walking in nature and the control group in which only regular activities within the context of sporting activity were performed. In theoretical part of my thesis walking is presented as a natural way of movement and as a way for development of motor skills. On the basis of the average results our empirical part shows that the results with older children are better than those with younger ones. There was no major difference in the average results between gender and body mass index. Significantly noticeable difference is shown with the test of explosive power where boys are in all age groups better than girls. The comparison of the results of the control and experimental group shows better results with children in the control group. The fact that the children in the control group were four months older than the children in the experimental group and because the difference in the results was minimal, I think that the walking has the impact on the development of motor skills of a preschool child.
Keywords:testing the motor skills of children, walking in preschool age, index of body mass, experimental and control group
