Title:THE IMPACT OF RECESSION ON THE BEHAVIOR OF THE CONSUMER - TOURIST
Abstract:Tourism in Slovenia got more intense momentum only after the completion of the railway line Vienna – Trieste (l. 1857). This applies in particular to mention Bled, Rogaška Slatina, Portoroz, Radenci, Dobrno and others who are even now known tourist destinations. The legislation, which includes tourism in our area is the Consumer Protection Act as an umbrella law regulating the field of consumer protection in general. 57. Rule the Consumer Protection Act relating to contracts of tourist arrangements. The rights of consumers and the consumer in offering, selling and other forms of marketing goods and services by businesses and the obligations of public authorities and other entities that provide these rights. Also important is the Code of Obligations, which governs the contract following the tourist areas. These are, Treaty on the organization of trips, intermediate insurance contract, the Treaty on the opening of catering capacity (Altomajska contract). Last years the recession is impacting on the turistic industry and also on the behaviour of consumer - tourist. The negative impact of recession already started to show in the second half of the year 2008. In the year 2009 the Internacional tourism decreased between 4% and 6% and the Europian between 6% and 8%. Statistical informations is showing that the recession absolutely impacted on the behaviour of costumer – tourist. 9 % less people were taking vacation between january and may in comparison with last year in Croatia.
