Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava zavarovana območja, razvoj in delovanje turizma na njih ter njihovo upravljanje. Razdeljeno je na pet poglavij. V uvodu so opredeljeni problem, cilji, osnovne trditve, predpostavke, omejitve in uporabljene metode dela.

Title:COMPARATIVE ANALYSES OF MANAGEMENT IN TWO NATIONAL PARKS
Abstract:The thesis deals with protected areas, the development and operation of tourism in these areas and their management. It is divided into five chapters. Problems, aims, basic statements, assumptions, restrictions and methods of approach are defined in the introduction. In the second chapter we described the meaning and function of protected areas focusing mainly on national parks, which we further on examined in detail. We also showed the importance of tourism in protected areas for local population. In the third chapter we examined and analysed the Triglav National Park management. We described how the park deals with higher number of visitors in the season and how the visitors inform and educate themselves about the protected area.We also presented how the managers balance visitors' interests and wishes with the aims of nature protection and conservation. Zonation and sources of financing are presented in this chapter as well. In the fourth chapter we examined the management of Wicklow Mountains National Park in Ireland, where we described the same parameters as with the Slovene national park. We summarized the most important findings of our thesis. In the last chapter we stated whether our main aims have been achieved and whether our basic statements had been confirmed or not. We added a few suggestions on how to improve the management of the Triglav National Park.
