V empiričnem delu so grafično predstavljeni in interpretirani odgovori vzgojiteljic obeh držav.

Title:THE POSITION AND ROLE OF TEACHERS IN KINDERGARTENS IN SLOVENIA AND IN SWEDEN
Abstract:The diploma thesis entitled The Position and the Role of a Kindergarten Teacher in a Kindergarten in Slovenia and Sweden presents some of the significant features of Slovenian and Swedish national educational programmes that have been carried out in kindergartens in both states according to the legislation of curriculums. The diploma thesis presents some valid laws that are connected with kindergartens in both states. The laws directly or indirectly influence the role and the position of the pedagogical worker in the kindergarten and they can limit him or on the other side encourage him and give him appropriate conditions for creative work with children. For the empirical part of the research 91 questionnaires have been distributed; 46 in Slovenia and 45 in Sweden. The questionnaires have been answered by the kindergarten teachers with diploma degree. The curriculums of both states have been presented in the theoretical part which represent basis for the work in kindergartens in Slovenia and in Sweden. There are also some laws presented: The Law of minimal technical conditions for place and equipment, The Law about finance and co-financing of kindergartens, and the law that determines the normative for the number of children in a group in kindergartens. The empirical part graphically presents the kindergarten teachers´ answers, which are also interpreted. The findings show, that the Swedish kindergarten teachers in comparison to the Slovenian ones have quite higher salaries, lower number of children in groups, they get on with the parents much better, spend more time outdoor daily than the Slovenian kindergarten teachers and they still have more comments and suggestions for improvements of their working positions and the way of working. There have been some similar answers about working hours of kindergartens where the kindergarten teachers work, and if the schooling prepared them well to work. Most of the kindergarten teachers think that their education at the faculties gave them enough knowledge and experience to work in a kindergarten.
