| Abstract: | In the following final thesis, we researched and studied the procedures for recruiting personnel at the Institute of Public Health Maribor. The final thesis consists of the theoretical and empirical part. We examined domestic and foreign literature, notes and articles from the field of human resources management. The theoretical part describes personnel planning, recruitment, advantages of internal and external staff recruitment, and the methods of staff recruitment. In the second, empirical part, we conducted a research at the Environmental Protection Institute, and investigated the means the organisation utilises to recruit personnel, the process employees undergo to gain employment for indefinite period of time, and the satisfaction of employees with the working process. On the basis of the research results, we drew up critical analysis, and gave proposals on how to improve the situation in the organisation. |
