Abstract:	Namen diplomske naloge je ugotoviti seznanjenost populacije z darovanjem organov. Cilj naloge je predstaviti transplantacijsko dejavnost, seznaniti se z indikacijami in kontraindikacijami o darovanju organov, ter ugotoviti splošno znanje o darovanju organov. Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela z uporabo anonimnega anketnega vprašalnika. Ugotovili smo, da se ljudje premalo odkrito pogovarjajo o darovanju organov in imajo slabo splošno znanje. Želimo si, da smo populaciji vsaj malo približali temo, da smo jim posredovali nekaj pomembnih informacij, kje lahko dobijo informacije ter o pomenu pogovora s svojci. Ni samo pomembno kako skrbeti za svoje zdravje pomembno je tudi razmišljanje o tem, kaj bo z organi tudi po smrti. Pomembna je tudi komunikacija, da se bo tisti, ki se bo odločal po naši smrti, odločil v skladu z našimi željami in prepričanjem.

Title:	People's awareness of organ donation
Abstract:	The purpose of the diploma thesis is to determine the population's awareness regarding organ donation. The diploma thesis aims' are to introduce the transplantation sphere, to introduce the indications and contraindications of organ donation, and to identify general knowledge about organ donation. By applying the descriptive statistics method and anonymous questionnaires it was determined that people seldom discuss the topic openly and they also show rather poor general knowledge about organ donation. We hope that we have managed to familiarize the population with the topic; we also hope that we have provided some important information about where to get information; we also believe that the importance of talking to relatives about organ donation has been clearly presented. It is believed that looking after one's health is important, but thinking about the possibility of organ donation is important, too. Furthermore, the communication with those who will decide about what happens to our bodies and organs after death (post-mortem) is equally important as they have to act accordingly to our desires and beliefs.
