Abstract:	V diplomskem delu z naslovom Avtobiografskost in problematika seksualnosti v izbranih romanih Vitomila Zupana sem ugotavljala, v kolikšni meri je pisateljeva literatura avtobiografska in v kolikšni meri vsebuje elemente seksualnosti, pri čemer sem se osredotočila na odnos moški — ženska. Analiza pripovednih besedil zajema naslednje Zupanove romane: Potovanje na konec pomladi (1972), Menuet za kitaro (1975), Igra s hudičevim repom (1978), Komedija človeškega tkiva (1980), Levitan (1982) in Apokalipsa vsakdanjosti (1988). Ugotovila sem, da romani vsebujejo velik delež avtobiografskih prvin, pri čemer ne gre za avtobiografijo v njenem dobesednem pomenu, saj se resničnost prepleta tudi s fikcijo. Pisatelj popisuje neko resničnost, zasebno in preteklo, prikazano z njegovega stališča ter literarno obdelano. Delež avtobiografskosti sem ugotavljala ob pripovedovalcu, literarnih osebah in literarnih prostorih. Pomagala sem si predvsem s pisateljevo tretjeosebno avtobiografijo in pričevanji Ifigenije Simonović, ki je avtorja osebno poznala ter z njim več let prijateljevala. Najmanj avtobiografskih prvin je v romanu Potovanje na konec pomladi, kjer v ospredje stopi fikcija. V ostalih romanih avtobiografske prvine izstopajo na več mestih. Obravnavani romani prav tako vsebujejo številne prvine seksualnosti, ki se je pokazala kot izhodišče Zupanovega pisateljevanja. Pravo problematiko seksualnosti zasledimo šele po letu 1965, ko so v slovenščino začeli prevajati dela Henryja Millerja, po katerem se je Zupan zgledoval. S stališča seksualnosti je prikazan predvsem odnos moški — ženska, ki je zaznamovan zlasti s spolnostjo.

Title:	Autobiographic elements and the question of sexuality in the selected novels of Vitomil Zupan
Abstract:	In my diploma paper entitled Autobiographic elements and the question of sexuality in the selected novels of Vitomil Zupan I attempt to establish how extensively autobiographical the author's literature actually is and how commonly it incorporates the elements of sexuality, whereby I have limited myself on the relationship between a man and a woman. The narrative texts' analysis encompasses the following of Zupan's novels: Potovanje na konec pomladi (1972), Menuet za kitaro (1975), Igra s hudičevim repom (1978), Komedija človeškega tkiva (1980), Levitan (1982) and Apokalipsa vsakdanjosti (1988). I have come to the conclusion that his novels do in fact contain many autobiographic elements; however we are not talking about autobiography in the common sense of the word, because in his case reality also mingles with fiction. The author would describe a reality, both private and past, presented from his own viewing point and literary modified. The prevalence of autobiographic elements has been established by taking into account the narrator, literary characters and literary scenery. The author's third person autobiography has proven a great help in this respect, as well as the testimony of Ifigenija Simonović, who knew the author personally and enjoyed his friendship for many years. The least amount of autobiographic elements was to be found in the novel Potovanje na konec pomladi, where fiction takes up for the larger part of it. His other novels prove to be more autobiographical in more than one part. The reviewed novels also contain many elements of sexuality, which prove to be the basis of Zupan's writing. The question of sexuality arises only after 1965 after the works of Henry Miller, Zupan's role-model, are translated into Slovene. From the sexuality’s point of view his work focuses mainly on the man – woman relationship which is for the most part influenced by sex.
