Title:Vloga operativnega managementa v Cestnem podjetju Kranj, družbi za vzdrževanje in gradnjo cest, d.d.

Abstract:Zaostrene razmere na trgu in huda konkurenca v gradbeni dejavnosti so pripeljali do nujnosti optimizacije delovanja gradbenih podjetij, da bi si zagotovili svoj obstoj. Pri tem so ključnega pomena dobro izobraženi in usposobljeni kadri na vseh nivojih organizacije. V gradbeništvu še posebej pomembno vlogo igra operativni management, ki je neposredno odgovoren za realizacijo projektov. V magistrskem delu raziskujemo problematiko operativnega managementa v gradbeni dejavnosti s poudarkom na Cestnem podjetju Kranj, družbi za vzdrževanje in gradnjo cest, d.d. V prvem delu predstavimo omenjeno podjetje, vključno s kadrovsko sestavo in informacijskim sistemom. Sledi opredelitev pojmov organizacije in managementa, osredotočena na operativni management v gradbeništvu. V tem delu podamo tudi teoretične osnove za raziskovanje kulture organizacije, ki je pomembna za postavitev pravih ciljev in strategije podjetja. V nadaljevanju preučujemo stališča operativnega managementa predvsem v zvezi z vodenjem in upravljanjem, motiviranostjo zaposlenih, trgom in konkurenco, raziskovalno in inovativno dejavnostjo v podjetju, okoljem in informacijsko podporo. Na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov z upoštevanjem ugotovljene kulture organizacije predlagamo rešitve utemeljenih pomanjkljivosti, ki bi operativnemu managementu izboljšale pogoje za kakovostno in učinkovito delovanje, posledično pa zagotovile razvoj in konkurenčnost podjetja.

Title:Role of the operational management in Cestno podjetje Kranj, družba za vzdrževanje in gradnjo cest, d.d.
Abstract:Tight market conditions and intense competition in the construction industry have led to the need for optimisation of performance of construction companies, to secure its existence. Well-educated and trained personnel at all levels of an organisation is vital. A particularly important role in the construction industry is played by the operational management, which is directly responsible for the realisation of projects. In the Master’s thesis operational management issues in the construction industry are researched with the emphasis on the company Cestno podjetje Kranj, družba za vzdrževanje in gradnjo cest, d.d. In the first part of the Master’s thesis the company is presented, including its human resources and information systems. It is followed by the definition of organisation and management terms, respectively, focused on operational management in the construction industry. In this part of the Master’s thesis the theoretical basis for the research of organisational culture is given. The organisational culture is important for setting the right goals and laying out the strategy of the company. Later, the position of the operational management is studied, focusing on management and administration, employee motivation, market and competition, research and innovation activities in the presented company, the environment, and information support. Solutions to the established deficiencies are suggested according to the results obtained and with regard to the determined organisational culture. The suggested solutions shall improve the conditions for high quality and efficient operations, and consequently ensure the development and competitiveness of the company.
