Raziskovalni vzorec je zajemal štiri diplomirane medicinske sestre in eno višjo medicinsko sestro. Intervjuji so potekali v Zdravstvenem domu, v dispanzerjih za šolske otroke in mladino. Rezultati raziskave.

Title:Violence apper peers and the role of the nurse
Abstract:The diploma thesis presents peer violence, which more and more adolescents, parents and school teachers face, the forms of violence and the legal protection of adolescents against violence. The role of nurses in identifying violence in the case of adolescents is also presented. Research methodology. The research was based on qualitative methodology with the use of a partially structured interview. The research sample consisted of nurses, while the interview was conducted in 2010 at the Community Health Centre, in clinics for school children and adolescents. Research results. The interview was used to assess how well nurses were informed of violence, what their methods were for identifying violence, and the manner in which the safety and protection of children and adolescents against violence was regulated. It has been determined that nurses are well informed of violence and believe that the protection of children and adolescents from violence in schools and elsewhere should also be regulated. Conclusion. Violence cannot simply be eliminated by security methods and measures, fences, alarm systems, cameras, or security services. The solution to the problem lies in all of us, in our relationships, our attitude towards children. Only when the children will feel accepted and appreciated, when they will feel that we do care, that we wish to spend time with them and help them on the path to adulthood, then, perhaps, will we regain the trust lost.
