Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili staranje populacije v svetu in v Sloveniji. Starejšim so mladi zelo pomembni, pomagajo jim ohraniti veselje do življenja in življenjski optimizem.

Title:The older people needs for intergrational cooperation in the lokal community of Pomurje
Abstract:In the thesis we have presented the aging of population in the world and in Slovenia. The population of elderly people is getting bigger due to reduced fertility and rise of life expectancy. We exposed the quality of life of the elderly people, the need for personal preparation for the age of the individual as well as legal liability. There should be preparation for aging by educating, informing the population, interconnection and courses for inter-generational harmony which are held by the institute Inštitut Antona Trstenjaka. Qualitatively the person's age is also an important communication between adolescents and older people and middle-aged generation. All generations should be connected with each other and complement each other. Young people are very important for elderly people because they help them keep the joy of living and life optimism. We have presented self-help groups for older people in local communities of Pomurje. We wanted to know whether older people want more inter-generational relationships in the local community, or have difficulty in developing contacts with other people, and whether they establish new contacts and friendships in the self-help groups. The survey was conducted through questionnaires among the four groups in the home of senior citizens and the twelve teams in the Beltinci section. The results of the survey showed that the respondents do not have problems developing contacts with other people. Elderly people obtain new contacts and friendships in self-help groups for older people in local communities of Pomurje. They want even more inter-generational relationships with other people.
