Abstract:Osebe, zaposlene v igralniško-zabaviščnih centrih, so zaradi narave dela, ki ga opravljajo, nenehno izpostavljene stresnim situacijam, različnim jakostim hrupa in temperature, spremembam bioritma zaradi nočnega in izmenskega dela..., skratka dejavnikom, ki negativno vplivajo na njihovo zdravje in počutje.

Title:THE INFLUENCE OF NIGHT SHIFTS AND BACK TO BACK SHIFTS ON THE HUMAN ORGANISM
Abstract:The nature od work done by employees in casinos - entertainment centers: under constant stress, high level of noise and warm temperatures, changes in biorythem due to night shifts and back to back shifts, in short, factors that adversely have negative effect in their health and general well being. The purpose of this thesis is to study the influence night and back to back shifts have on employees, to what extent this effects their health and general well being and do this effects differ based on different locations, age of employee, gender, or are they similar. The study was carried out with help of a questionaire, 30 people, all of wich preform 3 different jobs at the casino-entertainment center, participated in answering the questions. These employees work at the reception (they issue entrance passes for the casino, provide information for guests,...)work the tabels (lead in "live games") and vallet (they serve guests food and drinks). The common factor of these employees is that all of them work night and back to back shifts. Based on the questionaire we discovered that the place of work and the time when the work is performed effects the degree of exhuastion (12 am - 4 am). Age of employee does not effect the degree of exhustion or does gender. It was also discovered that out of all the stated possible motivational factors, paid was the one factor that dominated their decision to work night and back to back shifts. The most common problem faced by employees and the performance of night shifts and back to back shifts in the casino, the consequences of insomnia and sleep disorders that affect the health of employees.
