Abstract:	V diplomski nalogi sem predstavila celovite informacijske rešitve, ki za podjetje prinašajo veliko prednosti, če so pravilno implementirane. Glavni namen teh rešitev je poenostavljeno komuniciranje med uporabniki na osnovi enotne baze podatkov. Prikazala sem razvoj in strukturo teh rešitev ter predstavila njihovo uvajanje. Predstavila sem tudi informacijske rešitve, ki so trenutno na trgu in izpostavila dva velika tekmeca, ki sta SAP in Oracle. Preučila sem elektronsko poslovanje in se osredotočila na prednosti in slabosti le-tega. Kot zadnje poglavje v teoretičnem delu moje naloge sem predstavila informacijsko podporo managementa, ki je ključna za dobro odločanje in izboljšanje poslovanja podjetja. Pri tem je pomembno, da vodilni dobijo strnjene podatke, ki so relevantni za njih. Celovite informacijske rešitve zagotavljajo takšen način komuniciranja in obveščanja v podjetju. V praktičnem delu sem predstavila izbrano podjetje, napisala nekaj o njegovi zgodovini, posodabljanju in pa poslovanju. Opisala sem tudi kako je potekalo uvajanje celovite informacijske rešitve SAP in kako poteka uvajanje sprememb ter dodajanje novih programskih paketov v celoto. Na koncu sem opisala še integrirani proizvodno-informacijski sistem, ki so ga v podjetju razvili sami.

Title:	ARCHITECTURE OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM ON THE CASE OF LAFARGE CEMENT D.D.
Abstract:	In my Diploma I introduced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP Solutions), which bring a lot of benefits to the company if they are implemented in a right way. The main purpose of these solutions is communication between users based on common database. I studied development and structure of these solutions and the way of implementing them. I introduced solutions which are currently available on the market and I pointed out two big rivals which are SAP and Oracle. I studied e-commerce between two parties and focused on pros and cons of it. As the last chapter in my theoretic part I introduced Management Information Systems, which are key factor for good decisions and advancement of company’s business. Here is important that leaders get only relevant information, which ERP solutions provide. In my practical part of Diploma I described the chosen company, their history, improvements and business. I described how the implementation of ERP system SAP was made and how they managed changes they had to do and installing new software in the solution. At the end I described production information system which was made by themselves.
