Abstract:	Raziskava je temeljila na ekonomski analizi pridelave paprike(Capsicum annum L.) in solatnih kumar (Cucumis sativus L.) na prostem in v zaščitenem prostoru. Za pridelavo omenjenih zelenjadnic so bili v ta namen razviti simulacijski modeli, ki so temeljili na tehnološko-ekonomskih podatkih pridelave paprike in solatnih kumar pri obeh načinih pridelave. Pridelava paprike in solatnih kumar je v zaščitenem prostoru bolj dobičkonosna kot pridelava na prostem. V zaščitenem prostoru je pridelava solatnih kumar ekonomsko smotrnejša od pridelave paprike, saj koeficient ekonomičnosti (Ke) pridelave solatnih kumar dosega vrednost Ke = 1,4, medtem ko je pri papriki Ke = 1,1. Slednje sta nam potrdila tudi dva scenarija, ki smo ju analizirali v okviru analize občutljivosti. Pokazala sta, da je le pridelava solatnih kumar v zaščitenem prostoru ekonomsko upravičena, saj je vrednost Ke = 1,2, medtem ko je pri vseh ostalih sistemih pridelave bil Ke pod vrednostjo 1.

Title:	The economy of growing peppers and salad cucumbers in the open and in a protected space
Abstract:	Our research is based on the economic analysis of growing peppers (Capsicum annum L.) and salad cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.) in the open and in a protected space. Simulation models were made for the growing of the above mentioned vegetables, which were based on the technological-economic data about growing peppers and salad cucumbers in the above mentioned ways. With the help of different economic parameters and indicators we show that the growing of peppers and salad cucumbers in the protected space is more profitable than growing them in the open. The growing of salad cucumbers in the protected space has proven to be more reasonable than growing peppers, as the economy coefficient (Ce) of growing salad cucumbers reached the value Ce = 1,4, while the value is Ce = 1,1 in growing peppers. This was also confirmed with two scenarios that were analysed in the framework of the sensitivity analysis. They showed that the growing of cucumbers in the protected space is the only one economically justified, the economy coefficient being at Ce = 1,2, while the value was bellow Ce = 1 in all the other systems of cultivation.
