Title:LINKING OF SPORTS ACTIVITIES WITH HEALTH CARE ISSUES IN THE PRE-SCHOOL PERIOD
Abstract:The aim of the diploma paper entitled Linking of sports activities with health care issues in the pre-school period was to find out when, where and how parents carry out sports/physical activities together with their child, whether parents take proper care of the health, healthy diet and hygiene of their children, and how the education of the parents impacts the healthy development of the children. The data was collected by surveying 80 parents of children of the Selnica ob Dravi and Sveta Trojica kindergartens. The questions were connected to the activities parents carry out together with their child and the way the parents take care of the health of the children in terms of diet and hygiene. In the theoretical part of the diploma paper, the following aspects are presented: health of the children, factors that impact the health of the children, the role of the educator in the maintenance of the health of pre-school children, physical activities in kindergartens, the needs for physical activities of children from villages, the possibility to carry out physical/sports activities of children from villages, the influence of the parents in the maintenance of health, the role of parents in the physical development of children, the impact of sports/physical activities on the health of children and present studies and results. The results of the empirical part show that regardless of the education parents are active together with their child and take care of the child's healthy way of living, however, even though there is enough physical activity, parents claim that the main reason for not being even more active is the lack of time.
Keywords:pre-school child, physical/sports activity, healthy way of living.
