Title:INTEGRATION OF A LASER INTERFEROMETER AND A COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE INTO A MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR CALIBRATING DIMENSIONAL QUANTITIES
Abstract:Until recently the dimension measurement has been done in the Laboratory for technological measurement by a Universal length meter Zeiss 01-660 C. This fact contributed a lot to the measurement uncertainty, but it could not be reduced. This is why we decided to examine the possibility of developing and building a calibration procedure on a three-coordinate measurement device (CMM) with absolute traceability on primar standard with laser interferometer (LI). Using the research methods we integrated CMM and LI into one measurement system, designed the measurement procedure, tested its repeatability, set the influential parameters into the measurement, experimentally defined a coefficient for measurement of external and coefficient of internal dimensions and evaluated the overall measurement uncertainty on various calibrated standards. As the result we achieved a reduction of measurement uncertainty on 100 mm long samples for 77% and on 1000 mm long samples for 82%. We developed a mathematical measurement model and performed a wholesome analysis of the measurement uncertainty for the integrated systems LI and CMM. With this procedure we intend to take part in and cooperate with international intercomparisons as a basic tool for confirmation of scientific thesis in metrology and consequently confirm the evaluated measurement uncertainty.
