Abstract:

Title:
CHORAL COMPOSITIONS FOR MIXED CHOIRS FROM THE LATE ROMANTIC PERIOD AND 20TH CENTURY
Abstract:
The initial part of my diploma thesis provides drawings and explanations of symbols which I’ve used through all compositions for easier reading of conductor’s notes. The presentation of each composition begins with a description of the author and is followed by the text, its translation and the conductor’s analysis. Each presentation is concluded with a full score that contains marked significances for the conductor. Methodological, the diploma thesis is based on three principles that complement each other: the analysis and the survey of primary as well as secondary sources which are important for an easier understanding and writing of choral compositions.
