Abstract:Namen naloge je bil definirati vpliv porozne strukture netkanih tekstilij za gospodinjske krpe, namenjenih čiščenju steklenih površin, na nekatere njihove uporabne lastnosti (navzemanje vode, kapilarni dvig vode in odpornost prti drgnjenju). S pomočjo živosrebrnega porozimetra smo izmerili parametre poroznosti surovih in apretiranih netkanih tekstilij, analizirali njihovo porozno strukturo in vpliv apreture ter s pomočjo genetskih algoritmov definirali modele napovedovanja parametrov poroznosti in uporabnih lastnosti surovih netkanih tekstilij. Ugotovili smo, da imajo vzorci z večjo poroznostjo večje navzemanje vode in večji kapilarni dvig vode, a slabšo odpornost proti drgnjenju.

Title:THE INFLUENCE OF POROSITY OF NONWOVEN TEXTILES FOR CLEANING CLOTHES ON THERE END-USE PROPERTIES
Abstract:The main goal of this work was to define the influence of porosity of non-woven textiles, so called glass surface cleaners, on their end-use properties. For this purpose, the water absorption capacity, the soaking water velocity and the resistance to abrasion were evaluated. With the mercury porosimeter the porosity of raw and finishing nonwoven textiles was measured; according to this data the influence of finishing agents on the samples’ porosity was estimated. Special emphasis was given to genetic algorithms which were used to predict the end-use materials’ properties and porosity parameters. Samples of nonwoven textiles with different density and porosity were selected from the salable program of the company Konus-Konex. It is concluded that the samples with larger porosity have the better absorption capacity, better velocity of soaking water and worse abrasion resistance. The difference between end-use properties of cleaning nonwoven textiles made from different blends of fibers becomes smaller after finishing regarding the raw samples. Therefore, the required end-use properties of materials can be achieved also with the lower portion of less-expensive viscose fibers in fiber blends. It is confirmed that models obtained by genetic algorithms can be explored and used in the construction phase of nonwoven textiles with desired end-use properties in the frame of a new product development. In this way the production time and the cost of the product can be reduced.
