Abstract:	V diplomskem seminarju smo s pomočjo raziskav, temelječih na kvantitativnih podatkih, raziskali povezavo med inovativnostjo in uspešnostjo poslovanja v malih in srednje velikih podjetjih (MSP). Ugotavljamo, da inovativnost pozitivno vpliva na poslovno uspešnost. Do kolikšne mere se bo to zgodilo, pa je odvisno od mnogih, s strani podjetja bolj ali manj obvladljivih dejavnikov. Med pomembnejšimi vplivnimi dejavniki najdemo starost podjetja, prisotnost razvojne in tržne strategije in njuno povezavo s hitrostjo tržne predstavitve inovacije, način razvoja inovacije ter posebnosti kulture v državi kjer podjetje posluje. Rezultati kažejo, da na podlagi uvedbe inovacije lahko največji pozitivni učinek na poslovanje pričakujejo mlada MSP, ki so inovacijo razvila znotraj podjetja, imajo oblikovano razvojno in tržno strategijo, ki se skladata s številom že obstoječih konkurentov na trgu in delujejo v državi, kjer je stopnja kolektivizma izrazito visoka.

Title:	THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INOVATIVENESS AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES
Abstract:	In the seminar paper we examine the relationship between innovativeness and organizational performance in small and medium sized enterprises. We drew conclusions mostly from the researches based on empirical data. The main finding of the research is that innovativeness has a positive effect on the organizational performance. The extent to which performance will improve due to the innovativeness depends on moderators coming from within the firm or from the environment in which it operates. Some of those moderators are the age of the organization, the way the organization develops the innovation and the existence of developing and generic strategies and their integration with the speed of product introduction. The important factor is also the extent of the collectivism existent in the country in which the company has its headquarters. The results show that we find the most positive correlation between innovativeness and organizational performance in younger SMEs that developed innovations internally, have developing and generic strategies integrated in their business strategy and operate in the countries with high degree of collectivism.
