Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil strukturirati prostor uspešnosti v športni panogi imenovani twirling in s tem ustrezno vplivati na dvig konkurenčnosti slovenskih tekmovalcev in tekmovalk v mednarodnem prostoru. Razviti potencialni model uspešnosti in priprave športnika sestavljajo motorična dimenzija, dimenzija tehničnega znanja in morfološka dimenzija. Model smo testirali na vzorcu 40 tekmovalcev in tekmovalk II. začetne ravni, ki tekmujejo v tekmovalnem sistemu Mažoretne in twirling zveze Slovenije. Vzorec spremenljivk, ki smo jih ustrezno strukturirali v izbrane dimenzije potencialnega modela uspešnosti je tvorila skupina 13 testov motoričnih sposobnosti, skupina 25 testov tehničnega znanja in 2 testa morfoloških lastnosti. Podatke smo obdelali s statističnim paketom SPSS 10.0.

Title:PERFORMANCE POTENTIAL MODEL IN TWIRLING
Abstract:The intention of my final thesis was constructing a success area in the sport branch named twirling; therefore make an adequate impact to raise the international competitiveness of Slovenian competitors. The aims of my work were to develop potential model of success and to prepare sportsmen for the 2nd beginning level in twirling and testing of the developed model of success on the sportspeople sample who are already competing on the 2nd beginning level. For the model’s development we use the method of expert modelling of success and sportspeople’s preparation. The developed potential model of success and sportspeople’s preparation consist of a motor dimension, a technical knowledge dimension and a morphological dimension. The model was tested on the sample of 40 sportsmen and sportswomen who are competing on the 2nd beginning level in the competition system of Majorette and twirling association of Slovenia. Variables sample, which were properly structured into chosen dimensions of potential model of success was formed by the group of 13 tests of motor abilities, the group of 25 tests of technical knowledge and 2 tests of morphological characteristics. The selected data was processed by the statistical package SPSS 10.0. On the model basis we came to the conclusions telling very specifically in which segments an individual sportsperson lags behind and on which segment (motor activity, technique) or the development of which ability, knowledge or characteristic (power, movability, acrobatics, ballet, stick) or even which technical element (one-handed cartwheel) or individual ability (explosive power) trainers should lay great stress on in the future to assure the competitor’s improved success.
