Pri tem smo upoštevali njihov spol, starost, poklic, izobrazbo in okolje v katerem živijo. Z obdelavo podatkov smo prišli do naslednjih ugotovitev: starši so v največji meri športno aktivni večkrat na teden, kar je zelo spodbudni podatek, starši so športno aktivni zaradi boljšega počutja; starši so športno aktivni skupaj s svojim otrokom večkrat na teden; športno bolj aktivni starši imajo srednješolsko izobrazbo; starši skupaj s svojimi otroki največkrat igrajo igre z žogo in kolesarijo; starši se skupaj s svojimi otroki največkrat ukvarjajo s športom na prostem; večina otrok ni vključenih v organizirano športno vadbo.

Title:THE EFFECT OF SPORT PRACTISING PARENTS ON PRACTISING SPORT WITH THEIR CHILDREN IN THE GORIŠNICA MUNICIPALITY
Abstract:The thesis titled The effect of sport practising parents on practising sport with their children in the Gorišnica municipality is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. The first part deals with child's physical activity and development of movement, the role and the importance of family on child's movement development, the advantages and disadvantages of urban as well as rural environment. The empirical part comprises the research results gathered by means of questionnaire. The sample included 81 parents of 4-6 year old children attending nursery school Gorišnica and the parents of 6-7 year old children enrolled in the first class of Gorišnica Primary School. The purpose of my research was to study the influence of family and the family environment on children's involvement in sports activity considering gender, age, profession, the level of education and the living environment. We have come to the following conclusions: the parents are mostly physically active several times a week, which is certainly very encouraging. Their reason for being physically active is good health and well-being; the parents practice sport with their children several times a week; those parents who have acquired secondary education are more active in sports; ball games and cycling are the most common type of physical activity; the parents mostly practise sport with their children outdoors; most children are not involved in any organised sport activity.
Keywords:pre-school children, physical development and movement development, environment, parents, sport.
