Abstract:V diplomski nalogi bomo predstavili tehnologijo Silverlight (verzija 3) ter njene poglavitne lastnosti. Obravnavali bomo opisni jezik XAML, ki zagotavlja izgradnjo bogatega uporabniškega vmesnika in hkrati predstavlja most med oblikovalskim delom in programsko logiko aplikacij, izdelanih v Silverlightu.

Title:COMPUTER GRAPHICS IN SILVERLIGHT
Abstract:In our thesis we firstly introduce the basics of Silverlight tehnology and the language XAML used to describe graphics objects in Silverlight. We describe how XAML represents bridge between the application development and the design. After the basic introduction of Silverlight and XAML, we focus on the graphics in Silverlight. We describe graphics principles of vector and bitmap graphics, graphics elements, and how content gets to the screen. We get to know several optimization methods for speeding up rasterization process and several techniques for minimizing alias effects, called antialias techniques. We describe 2D transformations and how Silverlight can also simulate 3D transformations by using plane projection instead of a real 3D model. Furthermore we describe embedded effects for pixel shading, like blur and drop shadow effect. We also demonstrate how to make our own shading effect by using external HLSL language and how can it be integrated into our Silverlight application for later use. For the last, we describe time-based animation for changing element properties over time and the use of several easing functions to ease animation in, out, or both, which can provide more realistic experience when used properly.
